Real-Time Session
Real-Time Session monitoring is an advanced security capability within the miniOrange PAM solution that provides immediate visibility and control over active privileged sessions. This feature enables security administrators to monitor ongoing user activities as they happen, offering unprecedented oversight of privileged access across the organization's critical systems and applications.
How To Access Real-time Session Monitoring?
- Login to the miniOrange PAM dashboard and locate the Audit Dashboard option on the right of the navigation bar.

- After navigating the Audit Dashboard, click on the Sessions section in the sidebar, and then proceed to select the Real-Time Session option.

- Upon arrival at the Sessions page, you'll find a data table labeled Real-Time Sessions. This table displays a detailed breakdown of all the tabs that are currently used for the Dashboard, App, or resources.

- Click on the View button to monitor an ongoing session, this will open a new tab and clone the screen.

- If you observe any suspicious activity during the live session, you can terminate the session by clicking the Terminate button. This immediately stops the user's access.

- The tool tip button on the right side of the screen can provide you insights into the Access type of user and the working hours with allowed days, time window, and any specific timezone.
- Also, the visibility button allows you to see if there are any visitors or admin monitoring the session.

- To view recorded sessions, navigate to the Recorded Sessions tab under the Sessions section.

- In the Recorded Sessions list, locate the desired session and click the Play button in the Action column. This will open a player to watch the recorded session.
- These steps help monitor privileged user activities in real-time and review past sessions for security and compliance purposes. Terminating suspicious live sessions also prevents unauthorized access immediately, while session recordings provide forensic evidence and audit trails for future reference.
