Integrate SSO for Legacy Apps with Your Existing Identity Provider

We understand developing a customized app is a hassle; however, bringing SSO security to it should not be. An SSO access gateway is a middleman that you need for your existing Identity Provider (IdP) and applications that don’t support everyday app protocols like SAML, OAuth, LDAP or OIDC. With miniOrange, your users enjoy seamless single sign-on across both cloud and on-prem legacy and third-party apps.

Login experience using a single seamless dashboard for all users

No user migrations to any identity provider, coding or app modifications needed

Works with any IdP (Okta, Azure AD, Ping, miniOrange, etc.)

How Does miniOrange SSO Gateway Work?

The miniOrange Access Gateway sits in front of your applications as a secure access layer. It verifies user identities, manages sessions, and applies access policies for your cloud and on-premise apps without requiring code changes. It adds SSO, MFA, and consistent security controls to legacy and custom applications through a secure reverse proxy.

How Does miniOrange SSO Gateway Work?

How access flows:

Step 1: The user tries to open an application and the SSO Gateway intercepts the request.

Step 2: The gateway asks for credentials and verifies them using your identity provider or user store. MFA is prompted if required.

Step 3: After successful verification, the gateway creates an SSO session so the user does not need to re-enter credentials for other applications.

Step 4: The request is forwarded to the target application along with the authenticated session.

Step 5: As long as the session stays valid, the user can move between connected applications without logging in again.
