The deployment used zero-touch enrollment to bring Lenovo Android tablets online at scale, with apps, settings, and security policies auto-applied the moment a device was powered on. This eliminated manual, device-by-device setup and allowed students to receive tablets that were ready to use out of the box, with no IT technician needed at the point of distribution.
Educational applications were silently installed and updated across the fleet directly from the console, removing the need for manual app management on individual devices. Device-level policies ensured only approved academic apps were accessible to students, while security configurations were rolled out consistently and automatically across all 1,500+ tablets from a single point of control.
The solution enabled real-time location tracking across the tablet fleet, giving the IT team full visibility into device whereabouts at all times. A message broadcasting capability allowed administrators to instantly push announcements and instructions to all student devices, while location history and security alerts strengthened device accountability across campus.Factory reset protection was also applied across the fleet, so a lost or stolen tablet could not be wiped and reused outside the college's control.
Every Lenovo tablet was configured with a single, standardized wallpaper carrying the college's branding, applied uniformly across the fleet. This gave every student the same professional, consistent device experience without requiring individual configuration by IT staff.
