Windows Registrations

In this guide you can register Windows devices with miniOrange Unified Endpoint Management (UEM): we walk you through obtaining the Windows agent installer, binding the Windows DLP agent to your organization, completing onboarding and approval where required, and using the admin console to apply DLP Policies, Device and Website Controls, application restrictions, and Monitoring Rules to enrolled PCs.

What you are setting up

  • A one-time binding of the Windows DLP agent to your organization so PCs can report in and receive policies.
  • An onboarding approvalwhere administrator needs to accept new devices before they are fully managed.
  • Enrollment completion so approved machines appear under Device Inventory > Devices for ongoing administration.

How to Register Windows Devices?

Follow the steps below to download the miniOrange UEM Agent, install it on the Windows endpoint, and complete registration in your organization:

  • Sign in to the miniOrange Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Getting Started tab from the left sidebar and select Windows.
  • Click on the Download Module button to get the MSI installer. This will trigger our packaging service to create a custom agent for your organization; you will be notified via email when it is ready for download.
