User Profile Fields


User profile fields generally come into the picture when you have used any Custom Attribute. In this section, you can change even the default fields, which include Username and Email, Phone Number, and more.

Follow the below steps, to customize your user profile fields:

  • Go to the Users section in the admin panel and check User Profile Fields.

  • Under this section, we have Username and Email, Phone Number, Password, First Name, Last Name, and Groups as your Default Fields. To edit any default fields, click on the below-highlighted icon.

  • A modal will open to show the following options.

  • Click on the Save button to save the changes.
  • Similarly, you can edit all the default fields.

1. Create A Custom Profile Field

  • Click on the button in the top right corner to begin the process of creating custom profile fields. A modal will open to show the following options.

  • You can enter your custom profile name under Field Name.
  • Choose the Field Type from the dropdown. You can choose any of the following:
    • Textbox
    • Dropdown Select Box
    • Checkbox
    • Date Picker
    • Radio Button
    • Toggle

  • You can add the Default Value to be displayed in the input field. Also, toggle any of the available options to enable the features.
  • The custom fields are visible in the preview. Moreover, each field type has additional fields providing scope for improvement.

  • After customizing all these attributes, you can save them to View all the required fields.

2. Customize User Sign Up Page

  • Go to Users >> User Profile Fields to manage fields shown on Sign-Up and User Profile pages.

  • To edit a field, click the three dots under Action and select Edit.

  • In the edit popup, you can set the following options:
    • Required: Make this field mandatory for users.
    • Show on Sign Up Page: Display this field on the registration page.
    • Show on User Profile Page: Display this field on the user's profile page.

  • Click on Save button to apply the changes.
